DB25 Perpetual Calendar

Price available upon request
The Manufacture de Bethune is enriching its collection of classic watches with a magnificent interpretation of the perpetual calendar. The 44 mm-diameter round case is inspired by a drum shape and features slender and resolutely classic lines, subtly enlivened by the hollowed lugs characteristic of the DB25 collection. The finesse of the decorations and the purity of the hand-guilloche dial with its 12 radiating sectors accentuate the readability, notably based on the set of annular appliques delineating the subdials and the chapter ring. At 12 o'clock, a sphere sits enthroned amid a star-studded sky also incorporating a leap-year indicator. The date is read off on a subdial at 6 o'clock, while the day of the week and month apertures are respectively positioned at 9 and 3 o'clock. For this timepiece , De Bethune has developed the automatic mechanical Calibre DB2324, benefiting from the latest research and technology of the Manufacture and notably including a perpetual calendar, a spherical moon-phase display featuring a "1 day in 122 years" level of accuracy, a double self-regulating barrel, a triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system and a titanium/platinum balance. Representing an avant-garde mechanism with a poetic timepiece, the DB25 QP is crafted in the De Bethune workshops in harmony with grand watchmaking tradition. It has implied the inestimably precious expertise of the expert hands whose ever accurate and constantly repeated gestures convey the heritage of time-honoured experience. DB25QP functions include hours, minutes, spherical moon-phase indication, and leap-year indication at 12 o'clock.Perpetual calendar indication the month at 3 o'clock, the Date indication at 6 o'clock, and the day of the week at 9 o'clock. De Bethune Watch Brand History

De Bethune Watch Brand History

De Bethune is an independent Swiss watch manufacturer located at L’Auberson, in the Jura mountain pastures of the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Here, some 30 employees, including watchmakers, engineers, developer-designers, micromechanical engineers, polishers and decorators focus firmly on the research and development of technical and aesthetic innovations in the spirit of the great 18th century master watchmakers. The brand designs, develops and produces all its timepieces within its own Manufacture. Since its foundation, De Bethune has developed no fewer than 27 calibres, presented some 30 world premieres and registered a large number of patents as well as producing 150 one-off pieces to meet the expectations of the most discerning collectors.

De Bethune has received the highest distinctions awarded by the watch industry all over the world, including the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix for the best watch of the year. Today, Denis Flageollet, co-founder of the brand and master watchmaker, together with CEO Pierre Jacques, are spearheading the future of the company. The pure style, clean lines and delicacy of the cases represent the inimitable hallmark of De Bethune creations. De Bethune’s timepieces can be seen worldwide in our 25 exclusive points of sale and in our showroom in the heart of Geneva’s old city, in a refined, yet welcoming, contemporary setting that wholly embodies the spirit of De Bethune.
